Our puppies are primarily intended for families who desire an excellent pet, therapy, service, obedience, and/or working dog. This puppy is being sold with limited registration which means the puppy will not be used for breeding purposes.

Parents have been screened for hip, elbows, eyes, and heart clearances. Shadow Mountain Goldens are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America and adhere to their “Code of Ethics.” We comply with every practice known by ethical breeders to produce sound, healthy golden retrievers.

Shadow Mountain Goldens guarantees that this puppy is of sound health and temperament at the time of sale. This puppy has also been loved daily and properly cared for. Shadow Mountain Goldens agrees to provide health records, pedigree and AKC registration forms for this puppy.

Well puppy checkup: The buyer agrees to take this puppy to a licensed veterinarian of his/her choice within 3 working days following possession for a physical examination. Buyer is responsible for any vet bills. Should the puppy be determined to be in ill health the buyer may return the puppy for a full refund. The buyer shall provide a veterinarian’s statement regarding the puppy’s health if returning due to sickness. Please do not agree to any medical procedures and/or medication unless first contacting Shadow Mountain Goldens and getting our consent. Our return policy does not include worms, fleas, mites, ticks, coccidia, giardia, mange or any other parasites as they are common in dogs and puppies. However, if it is within 3 days following possession we will take the puppy back and give a full refund. Refund policy also does not include indigestion of foreign objects, ingestion of food or chemicals, or physical injury contracted or incurred following buyer’s receipt of puppy.

Health guarantee: A 12 month health guarantee is offered on this puppy regarding genetic defects. Shadow Mountain Goldens guarantees that for a period of 1 year from the date of birth of puppy, the puppy will not have or develop hereditary heart defects, hip or elbow dysplasia and/or hereditary eye defects. Buyer must have the condition confirmed by the OFA. Condition must be diagnosed by two qualified veterinarians. If the puppy is found to have any of the genetic faults listed, Breeder will offer at no charge a replacement puppy of equal quality, sex and bloodline within 12 months of the verification of required documentation. If owner chooses to keep the dog the breeder will refund any medical expenses incurred but not to exceed 50% of the purchase price of the puppy. This guarantee is not-transferable.

Shadow Mountain Goldens does not assume any liability for complications or death during elective and contractual procedures such as but not limited to spay/neuter.

Shadow Mountain Goldens is not responsible if puppy contracts a communicable disease after leaving Breeder’s possession.

Shadow Mountain Goldens has no control regarding future temperament, habits, and appearance of the dog, and hence does not warrant such.

Buyer agrees to maintain this dog in good health. Buyer will make sure the dog has adequate exercise, nutritious food, and necessary health care including yearly vaccinations.

The Buyer and family shall treat the puppy in a humane and loving way at all times, and make sure that anyone temporarily caring for the puppy shall do the same.

Welcome home policy: We understand that circumstances in your life may change. If at any time during the life of the dog the buyer is unable to keep the dog, Please contact Shadow Mountain Goldens. We would like to be given the option of resuming full ownership in order to locate the dog a new loving home. No refund will be given and the dog will be returned with all AKC papers and medical records.

Failure to comply with the conditions of this contract shall constitute a “breach of contract”.
This contract is non-transferable. Should the Buyer relinquish ownership in the puppy for any reason, this contract is null and void.
